OSBORNE VILLAGE BIZ WELCOMES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Osborne Village Business Improvement Zone (BIZ) is pleased to announce Zohreh Gervais as their new Executive Director.
“Osborne Village has always had a unique, organic vibrancy that really draws people in. I'm so excited to help rebuild and revitalize the sense of community cohesion that Osborne Village has struggled to maintain since the COVID pandemic. My focus as Executive Director is to work together with our local businesses and residents to reimagine how our shared spaces, experiences, and connections can better support the collective vision we have for this incredibly resilient and diverse community. " says Gervais.
Nicole Friesen, Chair of the Osborne Village BIZ Board states “Zohreh brings to the role a passion for community engagement and development and an extensive variety of skills in creative initiatives, programming and marketing. Additionally, her strong leadership abilities and valuable insights into business and economic development will help the BIZ to continue building a vibrant and safe community and a go-to destination for shopping, dining and entertainment.”
Once named Canada’s greatest neighborhood by the Canadian Institute of Planners, Osborne Village is one of Winnipeg’s most popular areas. Its restaurants and cafes, eclectic shops and festivals attracts many visitors.
